THE TRUCK DIFFERENCE: QUALITY LEATHERS

PERFORMANCE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

At TRUCK, we believe that better quality equipment improves your chances of a quality adventure. That’s why we use only A-grade leathers to create gloves that endure the harshest conditions while offering the best performance.

GOAT LEATHER

When it comes to crafting SNOW gloves that can handle the harshest winter conditions, goat leather is our go-to material. Why? It’s tough, naturally water-resistant, and incredibly flexible—thanks to the lanolin in the fibers. That means it stays soft and supple even when the temperatures plummet. Plus, its fine grain gives our gloves a perfect balance of durability and dexterity, so you can grip your poles, adjust gear, or toss snowballs with ease. Simply put, goat leather works as hard as you do, making it the ultimate choice for TRUCK gloves.

COW LEATHER

For some gloves, cow leather takes center stage—and for good reason. Slightly tougher and more abrasion-resistant than goat, it’s the perfect choice for gloves designed to tackle heavier-duty tasks. Cow leather stands up to wear and tear, making it a favorite for WORK gloves and high-impact activities. But don’t let its ruggedness fool you; it’s also soft and comfortable, molding to your hands over time for a custom fit. At TRUCK, we use both cow and goat leather to create gloves tailored to their purpose—whether you’re navigating snowy slopes or handling demanding work projects. Both materials are A-grade, ensuring durability, comfort, and performance you can rely on.

PIG LEATHER

While pig leather is commonly used in glove manufacturing, we’ve chosen to stick with goat and cow leather for one simple reason: we believe they’re superior. Pig leather tends to be less durable and not as naturally water-resistant, which can make it less reliable in harsh conditions. Its coarser texture also lacks the soft, supple feel of goat and cow leather, which are key to the comfort and performance we strive for in every pair of TRUCK gloves. We know some brands use pig leather to keep costs down, but for us, quality and performance come first. That’s why we stick with A-grade goat and cow leather—because your hands deserve the best.

COMPARE

Both materials are quite good for use in handwear as they both have excellent durability. Goat is more dextrous. So it offers excellent performance in glove constuction. It also offers better water resistance.

Cow tends to be slightly more abrasion resistant and is a great choice for more demanding, high wear situations -- like a work glove.

OUR LEATHERS / OUR GLOVES

At TRUCK, we take pride in having complete control over our leather supply chain. Our brand and the tannery are part of the same ownership group. Our factory not only crafts our gloves but also produces and tans the very leather we use, following strict environmental guidelines to ensure responsible practices.

By owning the tannery and being vertically integrated, we have access to top-grade skins and advanced tanning processes while eliminating unnecessary costs -- which is part of the reason we can afford to offer our customers our prodcut at such reasonable prices. This also allows us to produce in small batches, ensuring meticulous attention to quality at every step. At TRUCK, we don’t just use leather—we ARE the leather, delivering the best gloves for your adventures.

HAND SELECTED

The skins that we tan and use for production are all hand selected. They are sorted for thickness, color consistency, grain regularity, and softness. This manual attention to detail helps ensure that only the best leathers are used -- and therefore the final product is as good as possible.

SMALL BATCH PRODUCTION

We have the ability to both tan and sew our gloves in small batches. This allows us excellent control of our quality and craftsmanship.

PFC-FREE

At TRUCK, we’re committed to sustainability and innovation. That’s why all of our leather is now PCF-free (perfluorinated chemicals), ensuring safer, eco-friendly tanning processes without compromising the durability, water resistance, or performance you expect. It’s better for the planet and better for your adventures.

LOCALLY SOURCED

Much of the leather we use is sourced locally in Pakistan. Animal skins play a big role in Pakistani culture as it is common to sacrifice cows and goats for holidays and celebrations. These skins are then passed to the local tanneries and become part of the domestic supply chain.
