I don't often write product reviews, but I have loved these gloves so much in my little while owning them that I wanted to give Truck some love! I've used them for skiing both in and out of bounds, as well as frigid bike riding, and a bit of old fashioned mountaineering as well. They hold up great both for the downhill in temps ranging from around 20-40F (-5 to 5C), but then do very well with a light wool liner for even colder temps. They were also great skinning gloves in ~0F temps, when the Tour gloves (which I also love) are a bit too thin. Great dexterity, super comfortable, good warmth-to-weight ratio. And all at such a good price.
I’m very pleased with these. Great quality, easy to break in. I’ve worn them 2 days, and they feel like I’ve had a full season! Get yourself a pair or two. I plan to order more!
Have only had them for 2 weeks, and really like them, but my hands were cold below 40 degrees, and were fine above 40. They seem like rugged gloves that will last a long time. I will definitely use them. However, my search for a warm, long lasting glove continues.
Thanks for the feedback. Per your temperature threshold with the M1, I would point out that you are definitely in one of the lighterweight models. If you're still searching for a warmer glove, we have plenty. Might i suggest the M1 Pro, the M3, the RPG, the Trigger, the RPM, or the RP3. These are all warmer than the M1 and all of them are built with the same quality ingredients.
I post a warmth chart on each product page that helps identify relative warmth amongst the models. You have chosen one of the 'less warm' models as they compare to many others in my line. You can see the chart here: https://www.truckgloves.com/pages/glove-comparison
Generally speaking, the customer has to choose the glove that matches their physiology. So you now know that the M1 works for YOU down to about 40 degrees. That tells me that you have similar circulation as me. I have super cold hands. And i can probably last in the M1 down into the 30s or even 20s IF i'm moving around pretty actively. But certainly if I'm riding chair lifts or sitting around a little more, i quickly need to step into something warmer. That being said, i have hundreds of customers who can use the M1 all season long, no matter the temps. This is to point out that it's not the glove -- it's our bodies that dictate what we can wear. Good to know your limitations and purchase wisely according to past experiences.
Let me know if i can ever offer further advise or assistance.

DISTINCTIVE GLOVES/DISRUPTIVE PRICES
For five years I have traveled from coast to coast introducing TRUCK to the operational groups at nearly every ski resort from Maine to Washington. The goal was to build a glove that met the varied needs of the patrollers, lifties, snowmakers, and ski instructors who demand a quality product as well as one they can actually afford. And if we could do that, well, then we knew we had something good to offer.
Today we have a faithful following of resort employees who swear by the quality and costs we offer.
